Brittney Griner's drug smuggling trial in Russia will begin on July 1, the Associated Press reported.
Griner was initially arrested more than four months ago at a Moscow airport when agents found vape cartridges containing hashish oil in her luggage.
She will remain in Russian custody until her trial is completed, the AP reported. If convicted of transportation of drugs, she could face up to 10 years in a Russian prison.
